Position

Director


Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the overall operations of the facility ensuring high quality of education and safety for children and parents.
  • Be accountable for record-keeping and ensuring compliance with the Arizona State licensing standards.
  • Develop curriculum and ensure effective implementation. Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods.
  • Assist teachers with the execution of curriculum, program activities, prepare reference material and supply lists.
  • Train, supervise, conduct performance evaluations, encourage and mentor teachers and other staff.
  • Answer phones and conduct facility tours for prospective parents.
  • Monitor children for progress. Conduct parent-teacher conferences. 
  • Maintain positive rapport with families, teachers, licensing authorities and the community.
  • Promote positive image of the company. Help achieve profitability for the company.
  • Create and implement marketing strategies to increase enrollment. Meet enrollment targets.
  • Annually complete minimum required training as per ADHS.


Requirements

  • Must meet qualification for a facility director as per R9-5-401.1 of Arizona Administrative Code for Department of Health Services for Childcare Facilities AND
  • 2+ years of recent experience working as a director or 3+ years of recent experience working as an assistant director in Arizona DHS licensed childcare center AND
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements of ADHS for childcare centers AND
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel AND
  • Able to lift and carry children and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task, use good judgment, sustain a high level of energy, excel in a competitive environment, and thrive under constant transition.
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service and relationship building with families and staff.
  • Strong knowledge of DES, CACFP, FTFQF and NAEYC programs.



Applicants should be able to provide copies of all verifiable credentials and three professional references at the time of Interview. Offer of hire will be contingent upon successful clearance of all of the following:

  • CPR & First Aid training, TB test, Drug screening & signed immunization statement against measles, rubella, diphtheria, mumps and pertussis
  • Fingerprint clearance card, signed Criminal History Affidavit & Background check
